Can bad gas cause a P0430 (Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold Bank 2) to come up?
i replaced all four 02s myself a week after i bought the car due to bad 02s. this was 5 months ago. havent had a problem in 5 months since then till today, when i stopped to get gas at that ****ing Green ConservFuel, bio BULL****.. i put in 93 Premium unleaded then 10 milles out BANG ****ing CEL.
Or is it just a big Cowinky Dink?

Can you try to disconnect the battery terminal for like 30mins, then put it back one see what happen. I just had similar issue where I over mixed the Lucas feul additive and it gave me CEL. Then I just disconnected the b-terminal for 30mins, then put it back on. Took a test drive and have not seen CEL again. I am not an expert, but just something to think about. My 02 cents. Good luck.

mine did it as well. When I disconnected the battery to work on the car and put it back on, my error came back after 100 miles. I have a code reader and reset it. Hasn't come back on.
I have had the same code, first time I reset it with my code reader and it came back maybe some 400kms later. I just reset it again. Will see how long this will last. My GS400 has over 230k kms (~145k miles) on the odo though.
Reset it and see if it comes back, the post-cat o2's just tell you if the cats are working, the pre-cat o2's control the air/fuel. So it's not terrible to drive it for a while and reset the codes when the post-cat's have a problem. Although if the cat is bad, and has blockage it could be hurting performance and milage..
Here's the pages in the service manual on the post cat sensors:

Here's a cut and paste of the obd p0430 code info:
Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 2)
What does that mean?
Basically this means that the oxygen sensor downstream of the catalytic converter on bank 2 is detecting that the converter is not working as efficiently as it should be (according to specs). It is part of the vehicle emissions system.
Symptoms
You will likely not notice any drivability problems, although there may be symptoms such as a rough/hard idle when cold.
A code P0430 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
* The catalytic converter is no longer functioning properly
* An oxygen sensor is not reading (functioning) properly
* There is an exhaust
leak
Possible Solutions
First, inspect for exhaust leaks.
Next step is to measure the voltage at the oxygen sensor on Bank 2. In fact, it would be a good idea to test each oxygen O2 sensor while you're at it.
One thing to note is that many vehicle manufacturers offer a longer warranty on emissions-related parts. So if you have a newer car but it's out of it's bumper-to-bumper warranty, there still may be warranty on this type of problem. Many manufacturers give a five year, unlimited mileage warranty on these items. It's worth checking into.
