I had 19 inch nitto 555 on my car before and the ride was average overall, it was on the quieter side, the grip was very good in both dry and wet weather.

Aloha

z rated, a 300 treadwear rating, a very "practical choice" IMO ....

Not my favorite tires, no. Couldn't get the balance right and they didn't grip as well as the Toyo T1-S's I now have. And they were noisier.

Really My friend has them on his car and he loves them. I guess it depends on the size of the car....his car is smaller than the GS. I'm thinking of getting the T1-S's myself I've heard so much about them being such a good tire and all.

I have them on my car in 245/35-20 and 275/30-20 and I recommend them. They are good tires that last a long time (unless you're doing burnouts at every light)

...but I'm switching to Bridgestone S-03's soon just to see how they are...they're softer so they'll wear faster but I won't be driving the GS430 much....

had nitto 555 ZR on my other car
pros: cheap for 300 rating tire, good char in dry road, good solid construction

cons: does not grip well in texas rain, a little noisier

I am running Toyo TS1 on my GS now, got a great deal on them,

pros: 280 rating, good dry/wet char, quiet, made in Japan baby
cons: don't have yet

both tires are good from my personal experience and last long ==> $250/tire, you want them to last hee hee

Just got a set on my 19's. A lot quieter than my other ones(Yokohomas) and more tread life. It's a good brand.

I have severe Toyo T1-S envy:

Had a shop down in LA where I was vacationing order me a set for my stock 17s: bargained to a price of $750 mounted.

They spent four hours with me waiting at the shop (during my week off... grrr) trying to mount them and couldn't get them to "snap on and hold a seal." They even took them over to another shop and still couldn't mount them.

Web search reveals a difficulty mounting these tires with a "Coats Tire Machine..." so you may wanna ask if your shop uses one of these before ordering the T1-S.

They ended up remounting my old tires and sending me away. I was getting kinda desperate to get *something* on before going back to work and ended up getting a set of Goodyear Eagle F1 GS D2s at a shop in Sac for $700 mounted-- kinda crappy reviews on tirerack, but oh well...

o ya, a friend of mine ran NT555s on his Mustang and was pretty happy with them, especially for the price.

there are many shops that don't know what they are doing, I took my car to firestone to replace my tires with TS1, and they could not get my old tires off, they are Yoko AVS, give me some bull**** on the design of OZ Racing rim ho ho ho. I took it to pebboys, they open it w.o any problem. what a day for me. never go to Firestone ever again even for just a simple job
