time to replace windshield wipers..advice?
So my factory wipers are very streaky as they are 7 yrs old now, what do you guys think replace with oem (and how much is that by the way?) or go with the newer flexible ones?
My advice woul be don't get the cheap ones.. I bought some from Target for like 4 bucks a piece for my ES.. I'll never do taht again.. stick with the bosh or more of a high end wiper..
PIAA wipers...they are awesome, and they will turn your windshield to water beading/repelling. They are quite cheap to for their performance. Living in Rainy Vancouver, these wipers are definitely at home. At highway speeds, the wipers don't even need to be turned on, sometimes the water just kinda slides away...very cool effect.
Im in Calgary so I definitely get it! Where do I buy them?

If you made it 7yrs on 1 set of wipers, sounds like you're in a condition where you don't put much wear on them.
Since that is the case, go for any set of premium wipers (beam style) and they may hold up another 7years for you. I don't think there's as much difference between the major wiper manufacturers, as long as you pick the premium offering.
If you were using your wipers that needed more frequent replacement, I'd instead go for the regular frame/claw design where you can just replace the blades (economical).

OEM for both sides should be under $15.00 from dealer.
Don't throw away your OEM blades. those are like $50.00 a pair!!!
thumbs up on the icon blades. I have never bought the cheapest or most expensive blades, I just put a fresh set on ever year. But recently the local Adbance Auto closed up and had all the floor inventory 40% off, so I picked up a bunch of wiper blades among other things, the icons work well. We'll see this time next year how they hold up
