Originally posted by lex400sc Looks like a retrofit. Requires projector optics and a metal bowl to cover it. Lots of people do it to Honda cars to get OEM projector HIDs.
Well I don't know about those Honda kits on that page, but the ones I was thinking of were all homemade. Some people used the metal bowl as a shroud like so, and others use it the other way like the GS...
This guy posts at the Philips' Lighting Forum if you have any questions, but every HID retrofit is a DIFFERENT scenario so these guys can only guide you, but you'd have to do all the dirty work.

one sick mod...hella hard to trim that metal too fit. Who wants to do it for me?
Damn they look pretty cool. I want the bumper light too with frosted plastic not clear. Can't really tell from the pic. But man if it is all custom...I think it will be a hell of a project.
That does look tight....but I woudn't do that though.....you know how many times you have to take the front bumper on and off? Can't do it any more after that....
OK I'll bite... why would you want to replace the HIDs with these projector lights? These projectors wouldn't be self-leveling like the HIDs. Or is this appealing for those who don't have HIDs?
