You program it the same way you would a key. You can have someone at the dealer do it or you could probably find directions on here somewhere.

no i mean....assuming the key holder i have, has a chip in it. how do i program that chip? when i programmed my key, i had it in the ignition if i recall correctly

Would you just not barrel it with a screw driver and do without it? Up to you but surely its not that important as the boot can't be opened when the car is locked anyway.

no....some of us like to use the functions of our cars sir....

regarding my boot,it is fixed now thanks to a new key from my local Lexus dealer
