I'm disgusted! Either:

-that Maxima had a TON of mods to it

or

-Denut-L lost a TON of traction off the line and bogged down the power

or

-Denut-L has A LOT of weight in his car

For that much power (as far as his dyno; 272whp or 340hp @ crank) he should NOT have had a problem at all!

That year Maxima isn't even 260hp at the crank in stock form!

Not a bad 0-60 time but...the way how the Max caught up and started pulling it (Maxima) must have had a 0-60 time of around 5.3 seconds or so. Which is CLEARLY not stock for that Maxima.

I had one of those with an upgraded Y-pipe... gave the car to my sister. It shouldn't be hanging with the GS430 with just an intake.

I have a 2000 GS300(stock) and did a 25-65mph pull the other day with a 2000 Maxi(stock) and it walked circles around me.

Yes, but stock:

GS300 = 225HP
GS4XX = 300HP

with basically the same vehicle weight

BIG difference!

Not trying to make a smartass remark or anything, but mine is actually about 100-125 pounds heavier with 2 12" subs and 2 extra amps and wiring.

Need moonies for FI.

Quick question though.

Say if I were to get my GS3 to the same power level as the GS4 or 430 at the crank, would it make the same, more, or less power to the wheels?

Rule of thumb is you normally lose about 20% power from the engine to the wheels. Obviously that's just an estimate and there can and most likely will be variances.
