Default Average MPG for GS400

Hey guys,

I recently switched over to Amsoil in my GS400. I switched because we started using it in our industrial gear boxes. Right off the the bat I noticed that my mileage jumped to around 22-23mpg. The only mods I have are a K&N drop in and a Carson exhaust. On a recent road trip I got around 24mpg cruising at 75mph. I am going to run a bottle of Amsoil PI through and see if that will help any more. I have always though it got really good mileage considering the sticker says 19mpg on the highway. My daily driving consists of 50/50 highway/city.

What are you guys getting mileage wise?

Car is stock. Only use Chevron, no fuel additives. 80% Highway, 20% City. MPG 20-23.

gas mileage? lol.....I don't even bother to check anymore...hurts my feelings too much every time I put gas in it. I do know however I can get from North Phoenix to Las Vegas on 3/4 tank....about 12 gallons...at good cruising speeds of 70-75 mph.

They say that the gas mileage is almost identical. Don't feel bad, i want to get a 400/430 myself but i have too much money invested in my 300.

You should still do it IMHO. All your parts can be transferred easily to the GS4. It's just that it would be a PITA especially if you didn't bother to keep your stock parts.

I'm envious of the mileage you all are getting. I am at HALF the mileage of most of you. I don't have a heavy foot, yes the car is tuned, and yet my mileage sucks eggs. Oh well, at least if I run out of gas and I'm on the side of the road, when someone helps me out, they can look at the pretty engine that's fuel starved!!
