it's possible that the siphon system that takes the fuel from the passenger side of the tank isn't working correctly. It is a "jet valve" setup that pulls gas from that side of the tank and puts it into the area where the fuel pump is. I don't have any pics right now, but I'll post it when I come across them.

Default Car not using all of the gas.

Im having the same problem you were having with the car running out of gas when there was 5 gallons still in it. Did you ever find out why it was doing that?

Bump. Same problem here...I can only put 15.3 gallons in mine when the gauge reads bone dry and I am bucking pulling into the gas station. Anyone know the answer? Could it be the Fuel Pressure Regulator and Fuel Return Jet Tube Assembly?

Pull the pump hanger assy and make sure the siphon tube to the second tank is still hooked up, it isn't very tight on the fitting it may have come loose or cracked/rotted at the end and broken off.. The tube or the plastic fitting it dumps through may be clogged as well. You can also pull the secondary sender unit on the passenger side tank and make sure the pick up is clean and free of debris.

Just pop the back bottom seat out with no tools, and then a 10mm and 8mm socket will get the hanger out of the tank. Quick and easy to check this stuff just go take a look it may be an obvious problem.

^^ I'll give this a try over an upcoming weekend and see if I can see anything obvious. Thank for the input.
