Hi all,
The pics gallery is a great tool of this forum. There has not been, however, a good way to search it. This is partly because there are not many text tags/comments/descriptions on the pictures.
For example, in my latest quest to find pics of GSes with the TTE front lip, the search of the gallery came up with 4 hits. These four had the letters TTE in either the title or in the comments. I went through a lot of pics after that and found quite a few TTE lips. None of these pics, however, had text data for the search engine to use.
I know that it can be a pain to enter more data but if when posting pics, can we post a bit more data in the description? It would even be useful to have the owner's user name so that we might go to that user's profile on the off chance that the info is there. This is especiallly true of the pics that mkilty recently migrated from the previous gallery.
If there is a better way to search the gallery, please let me know. If not, I am just proposing a way to make the gallery even more useful than it currently is. I am not suggesting people have to go back and "document" their pics (even though this would be extremely useful
) but we at least try for the new pics.
