7443 and they come in packages of 2. You can replace the tail light and brake light while doing it as they both use the same bulb. 2 screws on outside and 2 screws under the curtain in the trunk.

7443 dual filament brake lights. most parts stores carry them. canadian tire has them.

7440 single filament. for front turn signals, rear turn signals, and rear brakes. canadian tire also carries them.

OEM is clear. Red is nice but I don't think it's going to last as long as the White. Make sure you get it from Sylvannia and get the LongLife Bulb.

I dont think they make red ones.

as far as i know, the coding for the light bulbs go (no letter extension after the number code sizing) is clear bulb. if it was like 7443NA, i believe these were amber bulbs.

but all bulbs are clear on the GS. for light output of different colors, they use a colored cover that surrounds the bulb in the housing.

try not to get the LED's, i got a set thinking it was going to work... it only works when you turn the lights on but when you brake, the bulbs do not illuminate. i have a 02 gs300 and i used the bulb for the "outer light" right next to the one you have circled instead. no difference in light output.

you get them from vleds too?? i got the 7443's in white hoping they were the reverse lights but they are different in the 02 gs's. in jacksons led pictorial he used the 7443 for reverse and thats where i had a extra set. used them for the brakes and they dont illuminate when pressed for some reason, i tried again just now because of your post and same thing does not illuminate when pressed. :T

try flipping the light bulb around, the LEDs might be polarized

yes i got ALL my leds except my city lights from v-leds (actually my first ones were from v-led but i switched to the ones from warren on ebay)

i checked last night, YES my brake lights light up when pressed! they are the ones i linked to in my post above

these are the ones i used for my reverse lights....

http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/P...82764-1-2.html

i even updated them on jacksons post for other 2001+ owners that the reverse lights use a 921 bulb i think
