Default Keys got stolen, need advice.

I posted this up on the socal forums because I wanted to find a local shop to do this, but I figure I'll reach a broader spectrum posting here.

So basically today my keys were stolen and I haven't been able to recover them. I am afraid that my car will be stolen or the contents inside will be stolen since I park in the school parking lot and I can't always keep an eye on my car. My questions are:

1. Does insurance cover replacing all the locks and reflashing the keys because my keys were stolen? and

2. Does anybody know a reputable shop around the City of Industry area that can replace the locks and keys without having to go to the dealer? and

3. How much will it cost to replace all the locks and keys at the dealer?

Thanks a lot. I'm really hoping that somebody will have the decency to turn my keys in.

Luckily, I had a spare at home so I'm still able to access my car. My worries are for the future in case I'm not there and something happens to my car. Somebody out there has my master key and it makes me anxious.

You can buy a new uncut keys on ebay and take it to a major keysmith in town to cut it and he will give you the instruction to program it and delete all codes but the one you have right now so there will be only 2 keys on you that will start your car, and on keyless entry side there will be instuction to delete old codes also after you program new keyfobs. glad you still have a key, that saves you lots of dol. key u have now is it a key w/keyfob or just a valet key? if keyfob you can use it to delete all other keyless entry codes. try and see if you can look up for instruction to do that in this forum. i will look for that paper that i had, i'll let u know if some' is up

That is a good start, the problem is that deleted key can still open the door to gain access to the cabin. They wont be able to start your car and drive away, but they can steal anything in the car. Not sure if the insurance company will cover you for replacing the ignition and recode all keys, but I think that might be the only sure way for peace of mine.
