Glad to hear you are safe though. It appears to have only minimally damaged your front fender.

I think Sewell lexus will sell to you for like $120 the front pair. Tell them you're from CL and talk to the internet parts manager Darrell.

It's DEFINITELY not enough to just "check for any wobbles". You have to physically inspect the rubber boot on the joint. Better yet, if you have owned the car for some time and haven't replaced the joints ( or know FOR CERTAIN that the previous owner changed them), it's a good idea to just change them out anyway. It's $120 that will save you from a MOUNTAIN of a headache later on...

To the OP... Sucks, man. But, if you know anything about DIY... give it a go... It's easier than you might think.

Ouch, always hurts to see these threads. Ball joints are on my maintainance list for this spring, too many people posting these pics to take the chance.

Where in MN are you from? There's a meet coming up soon, in Bloomington I believe. Check the Great Lakes sections for details.

From Moorhead! I might have to check that out, I have nothing done to the car...I spend enough money on it just trying to keep it running :/

Thank God my mustang didn't get flooded out, I can drive that now that we just pulled it out of the muck it was sitting in.

Anyone with an 2000 or later 2nd Gen GS should have their joints replaced with the newer designed found in the 01+ model. Sewell have them for cheap as a pair.

I'd say "should" = MUST.

So that's not an option for 98's or 99's? Not sure what you mean by 2000 or later but I need to order and take care of this soon.

Glad you came out of the floods ok, it looked bad up there! I'm from the Rochester area, there's a few members here from MN, I think I just saw a 2GS from the Fargo/Moorhead area posted recently.
