1 Australian dollar = 0.7165 U.S. dollars

30k is a lot..but factory 2JZGTE might be worth it when it's all said and done??

Hey yea when i was looking for my GS i only wanted White or Black and was so tempted to buy that Aristo. Its in NSW also and been on sale since last August, looking back now i wish i bought it cos its got the factory 2JZ like you said not to mention the 01+ Sat Navi and black wood that soo many ppl want, and what looks like Work VS-XX???
Since its JDM its got a few features that our Aussie spec doesn't

I don't think its that expensive considering the milage but only thing was that its an import which means its history is abit unknown.

Get it Bombsquad, get it please lol would be such a waste if no one bought it

30k is too beyond if it is USD. That car should be less than 10k USD, IMO.

you guys do realize that the automotive market in OZ is not as competitive as ours here in the states... they don't get the same kind of deals as there are import taxes out the a'... i told my cousin how much i paid for my GS and he nearly flipped... he paid the same amount for his used Sportivo Camry...

what 12k USD will buy you in the US would be a steal in OZ for 27k AUD...

and to the OP, the rate has gotten better for you guys... when i was there last month visiting, it was at $0.55... i was living like a king! beers all around for my mates... i should have bought more AUD to hold for my wedding there next year.

cheers...

SRSLY? The wheels alone are worth $4k+. You'd probably say my GS is only worth $10K, frankly an insult.

The car is worth what someone will pay. Who's to say a Ferrari is "worth" $200K?

54K miles is quite low for a 99. It is a rare and unique car. I, for one, hope the seller gets it. $10K for a used GS gets you a pretty thrashed one here in CA if you ask me. What some people here call a "clean car" I would call a project car.

... i got my car for a steal... and it was 'clean' compared to the others that i looked at in the same price range... the mileage on it was also very rare...

you coverted right but that isn't the point... you can't just do a straight conversion and say well $21k USD compared to what you can find here for $10k is too much, i pass... it has to do with the market of the industry... US has the benefit of competitive market and purchasing power to drive down the price for us...

in OZ, a new GS 300 starts at 100k AUD for the base ($112k AUD for the luxury model).. after conversion that is $70k+ USD... that is almost double what you would get the GS 350 here ~$45k USD...

in the US we go through cars like water because they are so cheap... my cousins over there think i make lots of money because i drive a GS... in OZ, they don't have options with their water or cars like we do... that's why i told my fiancee i don't know if i can ever live there.. i need to feed my car addition, and i would need to be a millionaire to do it over there...
