Every place is going to vary in pricing but for a well respected place look at dropping around $3500, that on the low side. A good paint job takes hours of good prep, I would shop around to some local places and see what there is, but steer clear of the big places like Maaco.
A full color change (done right) is going to run you close to $5,000+ at any reputable shop unless you get a hookup, plus the cost of the Wald kit. You're better off selling your car and buying the color you want now.
theres no set price for paint jobs. all depends on the area, economic climate and the most important factor.....The painter.
you can find someone to do it for materials,100 bucks, pack of skittles and a redbull.
I know painters who refuse to touch a car for under 25k*...they know people who charge even more
*I'll do it for 5k

I visited a few shops in my area to get a quote on mine... figures ranged from 1,500 all the way up to 5k
I decided to do it myself. LOL. It won't be perfect but its a learning process... (not the entire car, just the nose) rest of the car just really needs a good buff and detail.

Any of the metallic OEM Lexus colors are at least 2 stages, so you'll have to factor in that extra price for the paint. On top of that, you have the prep cost (taking off the trim, bumpers, handles, etc), which is the most time consuming and is the bulk of the labor charge. A good paint job done correctly will run between 6-8k in general.
this is a lexus the paint shops just here lexus and the price jumps lol a good paint job will cost 3500 i wish tell me were i there more like 5000 to 10000 depending on the paint you use some paints are harder to lay so they charge more. this is one thing you really don't want to go cheap on alot of it is in the prep work veritek is about right on the money for basic lexus colors
I'm sorry, I just have to say it... painting a car just to a different stock color of that car model just seems silly.
ceelo has it right, just unload your car and buy one already the right color if you're that fixated by one of those stock colors.
Doing a full color change is a buttload of work. To do it REALLY right, the engine has to come out. I'd hate having a dark-colored car with a silver engine compartment! It would be one thing if your car was a beater '83 Honda....
