Timing Belt: When do they fail?
dude...just shut up, let it drop and stop being a pissy pants. If you come on a lexus forum and try to even remotely compare ford or any other make of car like that your gonna get some back lash, so just move on.
Nice sad story about your experience with a Mustang. Only a complete tool would ever downshift a car going 60 with those steep gears from third to second. Who taught you how to drive a stick shift? Good thing you have a Lexus now....you don't have to worry about that kind of thing...as much.
No mechanic told me anything. I did it just to do it since I have had belts break on me before. And it's only a small amount. And lolz at your whining comment, I said I was bummed out. LERN TO REED D00D

My only "tool" move was buying a Mustang in the first place.
Look man, you dont like the fact that I had a engine blow while doing a braking downshift. Oh well!
The fact that my blown 5.0 tale from years ago, shatters your little crystalline pony love bubble, and gets you all sorts of "sandy". Get over it!
or....
Sell your GS, and buy three Mustangs, Thats about the value ratio. Fire up that bad *** V8, grab that dogleg shifter and rev the **** out of it. Letting everyone around know that 5.0 means business ****!!! Then drop the hammer and feel the seven and a half second 0-60 rush. Were talking 225hp of madness pushing the aerodynamic equivalent of a Winnebago down the line. Don't forget your GTO headlight blackouts and knock-off Saleen wing. That makes it unique.
Man, this is the first time I've talked about that retarded car of mine in ten years, and It turns into a retarded argument with a noob.
