Default VSC/VSC OFF problems

Hello all, I'm new to the forum. First off, I have a 1999 Lexus GS300 with about 53,xxx miles on it. On a recent trip I noticed that the VSC and VSC OFF lights came on at the same time. I noticed that the car does this only when I make a right turn and the pavement is uneven. What could be the problem? Also the lights stay on until I turn the car off then turn it back on. However, they will turn on again when I make the same turn. I don't think it's anything big but just checking. Dealer said they would have to do a diagnostic at $100 and $100 for each additional hour!!!!

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Like I said, they only turn on every now and then, not all the time I make a turn. The dealer said it was because the car senses it starts to skid, but they turn on when I'm making the turns slowly also. Besides if the car was really skidding, wouldn't only the VSC light turn on, not both the VSC and VSC OFF lights???

if your wheel bearing goes out if lets the grease in the abs sensor area and grease gets on the sensor and on the gear the sensor reads making if unable to read to check take a 10mm socket and remove the sensor behind the brakes remove and check to make sure both sides are clean i just encountered this same problem

UPDATE...thanks for the advice guys. I took off the sensors and noticed the two front ones had white grease on them. I cleaned them up and cleaned the grease inside. The rear ones didn't have any grease on them. I got excited thinking this would fix the problem, so I went to the infamous right turn where the lights always come on...THEY CAME ON AGAIN!!!!!!! I tell you, it only happens when I'm making the turn and the pavement is uneven. Weird because I was making those kinds of turns before without any problems.

Any other suggestions???????

Remove the wheel on the the front passenger side. remove the innner fender linner and disconnect the ABS sensor from the connector. Now go and find yourself a multimeter. Test the sensor and if it register 1.6-1.7k ohms, then your sensors are good and it's something else. If your sensors are not within that range, then it's a defective sensor.

yea i would check the sensor like alexus said changing the wheel bearing and cleaning did it for me but thats weird it only when you make rights its not pulling the or rubbing it somewhere my tire rubbed thru the wires once witch caused the lights to go on an off all the time till i found the short. other than that you got me stumped
