I really need a little help with this problem. Its a little but so I will try and get straight to the point.I have a 2000 GS300 that I am working on that has the p0125 fault. I traced it down to the connector harness. I found that someone had spliced in a new one and had wired it up wrong. The two wires going to the ECM were crossed. Ok here is the strange part. Its bank 2 sensor1, At first when I thought it was an o2 sensor I replaced it and it worked fine until the car started to warm up. I was using my obd2 scanner to monitor the o2 readings. Everything was working fine then it stopped I moved the wires and it started to work then it just died. That's how I found the wires were crossed. I put the wires in the right order and the sensor started to work again but then it just died. Its doing the same thing. Ok here is were I am stuck. there is a thick white wire that has wire braid around it. and it looks as though its not right and I am not sure how important that braided material is.
So I am wondering if the the ECM got shorted by the wires being crossed or if the braided material has something to do with it. When the o2 sensor is cold it works fine but as it warms up it stop reading and thats with the old and new sensor and they are both ND sensors. Trying to see if I need to purchase a harness or an ECM.
So if anyone think they have some advice I am open.
