Lexus is voted #1 in JD Powers
Um did you read that article carefully?
However,,,
Am not surprised since Lexus has been slipping lately with some of their products but the ranking was concluded for a 3 year reliability record. 3 years ago, Lexus was rolliing out a whole new line and still getting the bugs out of the line while Buick and Jaguar still had their same old lineup; no new vehicles. They recently just started to release a whole new line so we will see how the rankings fair in the next round. Lexus has been consistently number 1 for years and that is a great achievement, but they need not take their eyes off the road b/c ALOT of manufacturers are catching up(not there yet, but catching up) very quickly.
Jaguar and Buick surged to the top of J.D. Power and Associates' closely watched vehicle dependability study this year, tying for the No. 1 spot and dethroning Lexus for the first time since the Japanese luxury brand has been a part of the survey.
Despite losing its crown to Jaguar and Buick, Lexus still swept top awards in four segments, while Toyota's namesake brand took five awards....and the results marked the first time Lexus was not either first or tied for first since it was first included in the study in 1995..
