Default Which modern automakers should merge together?

Wouldn't it be nice to get it all: aggressive sportiness from one company, functional reliability from another, and breathtaking design from one more?

Can such companies merge together and become a global powerhouse?

Volkswagen+Audi+Lamborghini did a spectacular merge in the past. Who else should in the future?

Discuss.

and from it we got the R8, which is a masterpiece.

I'd like a proper replacement for the NSX from Honda or an attempt from Toyota. Either Honda/Toyota/Nissan + Ferrari would be good.

i think lexus and aston martin would be perfect. AM already focuses on luxury before sports, same as Lexus. not much change, but AM brings in some great styling and as of late, performance. lexus delivers greenhouse and deep pockets.

I personally don't want to see any more merging in the auto industry. I want them to stay independent of each other and thus maintaining their own identity and specialty.

I know I know, this is blasphemy but Lexus + BMW because it seems as if past Lexus owners turn to BMW or vice versa.

Exactly my pick as well. I've said it in other posts before. If Lexus has BMW like steering and driving dynamics there would be no reason for BMW. If BMW had Lexus reliability, there would be no reason for Lexus

Toyo/Lexus needs to buy Lotus. period.

Thought I'd love to see porsche in the mix to, I can't see that ever happening due to the VW factor.
