Can one of the wonderful vendor that we have here on CL please come forward and offer a GB on this item please

Aw well we can always have another one I am sure a lot of folks would get in on this as they are requesting it in the classified.

 

I dont think the last groupbuy went through. People were expecting to pay less than $200 shipped

 

i would pick one up for 200 shipped!!!!!

That's part of the problem of asking about GBs and people making up their own prices (like is starting in this thread)... no vendor is going to sell something like this at a loss.

I don't have any idea how much the lips cost them, but members randomly throwing out lowball prices without input from the vendors selling the item really hurts the effort and ends up bad for both the members who want one (who have had thier expectations falsely set) and the vendors who work to set up a GB to sell them.

I'd suggest you guys research who has offered a TTE GB in the past and PM the vendors who did to see if they can set one up. You can also see what the $$ was at that time.

edit - I found one from a couple of years ago $289 shipped hosted by Carson in 2005. I PMd them with a link to this thread to see if they're interested... no way to know if they'll be able to do that again with changing value of dollar, etc. which influences the cost.

Last time this happened the list was over 100 people and it fell through... very disappointing. It's unrealistic to think your gonna pay anywhere near 250 for this lip. At the end of the day, you have to pay to play guys

 

not to mention the price now isn't the same 5 years ago. Cost of material is rising everywhere.

 

It is certainly up to the vendors to set the final price of the item indeed after all they have to get their cut as well.

However, I do not think it is a problem for member(s) to state what price they are willing to pay for the item it is up to the vendor to sell or not.

Guys lets make this happened the more ppl the better the price will be if you are expecting to pay those dollar

 

Especially with some of the mark up vendors have 3x or more sometimes.

 

Sewell sold em for 250. I miseed out though.

 

I'm down for a tte lip. I think Sewell had it but I missed out...didn't have a 2gs back then.
