Default Strut Tower Nuts Torque Value

Members,

Can some please verify the torque value of the 3 strut tower nuts on each of the rear struts of a 1999 GS 400?

I found a DIY post that listed it as 47 ft-lb. A repair maintenance book in the library lists it as 14 ft-lb.

Thanks in advance.

I thought it was 47 pounds, too...14 pounds is darn near finger tight!

It's 43lb/ft. I've taken my suspension in and out almost on a weekly basis during the summer therefore I have it memorized...

I have it written down as 41 ft-lbs for the front, and 47 ft-lbs for the rear. I wrote this down off the manual, so hopefully I didn't write it down wrong.

41 front, 47 rear As long as you're round there then you're good to go. most torque wrench aren't calibrated the same.
