Exclamation Help with apexi neo install

Ok so I got around to install my neo today. I first hooked it up to the battery to set everything at 0 or off and I checked and double checked and triple check the wire's, wire diagram and wire color and locations. Well when I turned on the car it started and than all of a sudden a CEL, VSC and VSC off lights were on. I tired revving it up and never got past the 3K RPM range. After a few mins. of trying to see what went wrong (also getting pissed off because it was getting late) I decided to cut the air flow wire off the NEO and connect the two ends together (in order to be able to drive home). I reset my ECU and luckily those lights haven't came back on. Now my question is, since everything is at 0 and the corrections are off and in monitor mode how is it those lights came on? I thought when it's all set at 0 and the correction off it'll just monitor and will run stright from the ECU instead of the NEO? Or did I **** it up somewhere?

Sorry just kinda venting and trying to find out whats wrong. I might leave it disconnected till I get it dyno'd.
