Default Need help with SRT install

Anyone in the 818 area Los Angeles area that can help a fellow CL member with this install. I tried eariler this morning and must have done something wrong. Got the CEL VSC and VSC off lights. Would seem like it would hit rev limit at about 3000 rpm. check the wiring and everything looks ok. Did the whole MAF sensor thing and had it on the first time. Had the problem with putting the sensor 2 cable on the black cable instead of the yellow/black cable. When it was on the black it ran. On the yellow/black where it is suppose to be did not start. Thinking srt ecu is bad but don't know. Hoping someone could help me with the install. Thanks.

I would not rely on the wire colors. Connect to the wires based on position within the wiring harness connector. When I did my install, several of the wires were different colors based on the wiring diagram provided with the intake. Go back to double check the positions not the wire colors. This would be the first thing I would do. Good luck.

I agree, my '01 430 did not exactly match the color coding either. I used the locations as shown in the diagram. I can't remember the combinations of colors, but here's an example: The diagram said black and white, but mine was black and yellow, but the lcoations of the wires in the fuse box macthed as per diagram.

Did you get your SRT new or used? Do you have the install instructions?

I got it new. Too hot to keep on working on it. Will try next week. It is my wifes daily driver so can't really mess with it. It was like 102 degrees out here so I had to stop.

Post SRT Intake Install.

First of all, GS3 or GS4?
Besides checking location of the wire in the connector. Also check and make sure that you push the connector comletely into the ECU. Make it click like a seat belt.
Good Luck,
Will

Another suggestion, double check your solder points. Make they are good and solid solders. Tape them up so there's no chance of shorting out.
