45 minutes later, a multitude of cuss words, a few scratches, a bent post on the light bulb assembly and 4 attempts to mount it correctly, it's finally on. I'm going to bed. <whew>

Thanks for the write up. Without it i would have fried the entire electrical system. LOL

I wish I would have seen this 3 weeks ago. Nicely done Vic. Now that you have the 6000k, are they brighter than your stock 4300k's or is it just a color difference?

its not brighter. general rule is, 4300k is the brightest. the higher you go, the more blue and the less bright.

are my headlights now not as bright as they were before you ask. maybe so, but i cant tell. i do know they are **** poor next to current generation HIDs.

take the new ES for example. i pulled up next to one on the highway, and the light spread from his/her headlamps was AWESOME. made my lamps look like flashlights. how the 2GS beam pattern in soft, wide, and even; the ES pattern was very bright in front of the car but wider and softer to the sides.

no question it will be brighter; tho at the cost of an out of control beam pattern

Do GS400's come with D2R bulbs? I just got a pair of D2S bulbs fom xenondepot. Is that the wrong type of bulb?
