hey you guys ive been lookin at buyin a 98 gs400 an a 98 gs300 i love how these cars look an handle but before i decide to buy one of them i wanted to kno if these cars r prone to any an wut problems an if they run into them around a certain amount of miles the 400 im lookin at has 132k an the 300 has 189k or so an im used to drivin a s2000 an other hondas/acuras that dont really have much ownership cost an reletively cheap parts when u do run into a problem an i wanted to kno if these cars have insane price tags for parts when an if they run into a problem

-Tricky- first up welcome. Secondly use the "search" function as a number of these types of questions have been asked in the past.

Welcome to the Club. Either one of these cars, and Lexus in general, is going to be very reliable, depending on the previous owners care of the car of course. I would go for the GS4 for the lower mileage and the V8. The GS4 is right around where it should be as far as mileage. The average is about 12k-15k/year.

+1, definitely go with GS4 and make sure to check all of the service records if any. There are minor issues that these car has but it fixable and it is inexpensive to compare to some. Then again, you are a owner of Lexus not honda/acura. Take pride in own them. Do your search in the forum, you'll find lots of helpful hints from friends here. BTW Welcome to the Club!!

if the gs is serviced and maintained like it should be its very little cost to own. if it hasnt been....pass it up for one that has been
