I just picked up those same rims but 45 series tires. Rides ok but I like the sound of the 50 series. What exact size are they? Secondly, as for your lowering, about how much was it...and how does it compare to Tein? Asking because that's my next stop.

235 50R 17 is the exact size of my tires- they are Bridgestone Turanza Serenitys and I have really enjoyed them. I have always preferred Michelins but these tires were very highly rated and I can see why after a few thousand miles of ownership. Overall I am very happy with my entire suspension setup.
The tires offer great grip with a smooth ride and great wet traction, and the springs and shocks have a much better ride than stock. I bought a Lexus because I wanted a smooth and comfortable ride and I am really happy with the fact that I have maintained that and still been able to get more feeling and feedback from the steering at the same time. The drop is 1.8" in the front and 1.5" in the rear...and again...you will be surprised with how well it rides. I paid $300 shipped for the shocks, $225 shipped for the springs, and $330 for the install but that also included replacing ball joints and tie rods. Worth every penny !
