Default Car wont start

I could use some help on where to look first. I just went out to my car for a run to the store but when I went to start it and turned on for about 2 seconds and then turned off. I tried to start it again but it just churns over but never starts.

A little history: Car has approx. 150,000 miles, I replaced the plugs about 6 months ago and its way overdue for a tune up. I noticed a couple times over the last year that after coming off the highway and stopping the rpms would go down a little and the car woudl stutter just for a couple seconds and then back to normal. I dont know if there is any correlation between that and whatever is wrong now but I am trying to disclose everything I know. The battery is pretty new and all the lights and radio seem to be working fine so I dont think its related to the battery.

Can anyone point me in the right direction on where to look/check first?

Thanks

fuel pump, fuel filter, injectors. It's definitely a fuel related problem. Also check to make sure the throttle body and maf are clean while youre at it.

ok...thanks....I will check the DIY section to see if there is a MAF/throttle body cleaning write up. Is it as easy as just getting some MAF cleaner and spraying it into the MAF and throttle body?

I was thinking about getting a OBD2 error code reader (cant remember what they are called) and checking for error codes.
