how many of you keep your fender lining up front? i just mounted the wheels and im still playing with the height on my coils a little but not to much i like the stance i got.
but when i turn hard left or right it hits the fender lining! how many of you guys having that issue? how many of you guys take out the lining completely? or try to find a way to push back the lining some?
i think i am going to camber my wheels in the back slightly! the wheels are pretty flush with my fenders in the back right now but i think i want to run more camber just to avoid any rubbing issue just in case i hit those occasional hard bumps on the hwy.
im running a 245/35/20 in the front with a 20x9+30 in case you guys doing know. And i know you guys will say run stretched i think i will on my next set of tires up front! but i just want to know how many of you guys modded the fender lining or removed it completely??
anyways thanks guys!! ALl you guys been a big help in helping me put my car together!!
No need to remove the whole lining. I didnt even have to cut. My fender lining came in 3 different sections. So I just removed the section that sits in the middle above my tire.
By the way what offset do you have in the rear?

Are we talking about the plastic wheel well lining above the tire or the metal fender tab that runs along the edge of the fender? My 20s rarely hit the fender lining unless i have a fattie sitting shotgun. I happens rarely so i dont really need to cut it. The fender tab does rub on my tires sometimes when the wheel is turned hard and i go over a bump, or more commonly when im turning and going up a steep driveway. I just try to be careful and its worked so far. The rears however are a different story. I just finished belt sanding the fender tab all the way down earlier today. I hope it eliminates my rubbing problem.
im talking about the fronts plastic lining inside the fender. My tire doesnt hit the fender tabs just the fender lining!!! my rears fenders are already shaved! sometimes i think i should have just rolled and pulled the rear
im on 20x8.5 in the front with an et 42 on 245/35/20's and my tire is a little tucked. I removed the insider liner because it would rub on everything. After I removed the liner, i notice that I'm also rubbing the metal parts of the wheel well. So yeah, I'm still rubbing metal even with the liner off.

see my wheels arnt tucked in the front yours are. it just rubs on hard bumps on the hwy and when i turn hard right and left in the front. i think ill be fine not rolling the front fenders but ill see!!
All I did was grind it down a little bit, no more problems
what exactly did you grind down??? can you show me some pix? id like to know what you did if possible. also are you talking about the rear fender or the front? im having rubbing issues with the fender lining just to let you know!!
i think im gona go with that size next time!! i gota fix a rear coil still. to set the preload higher. I gota sink the sleeve into the shaft more and push the preload up higher!!
