Need Help!! with wheels
alright heres the deal. i have a 98' GS300 and i wanna put wheels on it. Once i put wheels on it im going to slam it to the floor. does anyone know the PERFECT fitment for a 2GS? does anyone have any pictures? i need help wheels cost alot of money and i wouldnt wanna **** up lol. All your replies will be greatly appreciated. different type of wheel ideas would be nice too. i want to get the JP scaras but its way too much $$$ for me. ideas would be great also thanks.
there's no 'magic' number as far as fitment. Here's a couple good guidelines to follow
1. if you're slamming to the floor, you'll need camber in the rear, so take this into account when choosing offsets.
2. iirc around +15 or so is fairly flush on the 2gs. Obviously different widths and offsets will affect this.
3. remember, super low=stretch tires, so pick tires accordingly.
4. IMO, a good staggered set of 19's is just right. 20's work, 21s if theyre the right wheel but you can't go wrong with 19s. I'd go 8.5 up front on a 235 and 10 or 10.5 in the rear on a 255 if you're going to be slammed. Offsets somewhere between +10 and +20, being on the safe side of aggressiveness. The lower the offset, the farther they'll stick out of the wheel well, the harder it will make it to camber them in to tuck when slammed.
