Default GPS Problem

I have a strange problem with my 2001 GS430's GPS that I have not seen discussed on this thread. Just after a strong, freak snowstorm here in Vegas, my GPS started malfunctioning. Seems like if I do a POI search the GPS destination option buttons go unlit, similar to what happens when the car is moving. This problems seems to last for anywhere from 1-3 days and then the GPS is fine again. Every time I use the POI search the problems reoccurs. No problems with address searches or using marked points. Any ideas?? Thanks.

My GPS also acting rare after that snow storm. I disconnected the ground cable to the battery and let it sat for 5-10 minutes. it will reset the GPS computer. It is back to normal. Good luck!

I live in the snow and I keep my Tom Tom in the car all of the time, never a problem. One thing my son told me FYI. Never wipe your screen with a cloth until you touch ground. The static will eventualy destroy the screen.

I have never heard of this happening or had this happen to my NAV, I would suggest disconnecting the terminals for a while??
