Do you think it is worth it to save an extra $20 a pair on bulbs by getting some generic, no-named, subpar light bulbs??? Considering that they'll last you 10 years or more, that is being quite cheap. You drive a Lexus, remember??? If you're not willing to spend the extra money, just keep your factory bulbs in. They'll be better than any cheapo bulbs you can buy.

I see this post alot. Not picking you out lex400sc, but people just want to get the most for their buck. If two companies are offering the same bulb and one is offering it cheaper, why would I buy it from the more expensive distributer. Yes we drive lexus's, but if we really wanted to blow money on our rydes, we would have gotten biiimmers.

I understand this arguement when trying to justify $5800 for a set of rims as opposed to $2000, but that's big money you're talking about. I don't understand people here that will squabble over chump change like a couple of bucks on light bulbs. It's like shopping for a Bentley and haggling over floor mats. I don't mean to throw CSHFLW under the bus, but c'mon man, there's nothing wrong with your regular bulbs. If you want to BUY better ones...then buy BETTER ones.

Lex400sc,

You're dead on about the color. Crystal white = purple. Let that be known. By the way, although the K2's burn at 8000K, they don't illuminate quite as well as my stock HIDs. My friend got them for $350, though. That's a deal if you ask me.

i used to have stock halogen, then i bought "fake" xenon lights (HID) from japan, that was 130/170 .. and that wasn't enough for me.. 'cause once some dude pulled on his real HID even though mine looks bright.. but not as brigher as real HID, so i said hell with it, i'm geting real HID.. so when i was puting my new HID i took out my japanese bulbs. so it wasn't from stock halogen to HID

as for beam pattern, i'm not quite sure but even if they not in focus you can see at least two blocks and a half with them

there is only one way they can fight into head lights so i would assume they already pointed them where they has to aim

and when i was unscrewing my fog lights (i was curiose to see what kind of bulb type its there (it's 9006 for anyone who care) they had some gears, i guess that's for leveling..

where do I buy them? I have someone who sold them to me, if you interested PM me and i'll arange another kit for you. [/B][/QUOTE]

But all GS400 come stock with Xenon HID Headlamps. they were optional on the GS300

No, they were still optional on the GS400s until recently. If you got one of those premium packages, maybe HIDs were included, but they weren't standard equipment until the GS430.

a1, lex400sc is right. HID's were never standard on the GS400. They became standard on the GS430 when it came out in '01. Check the links below and pay special attention to where it says AVAILIBLE OPTIONS.
