Default Labor for Outer tie rods, rf abs/speed sensor, and alignment.

Hi, im getting charged $100 bucks to have my outer tie rods replaced, my rf speed/abs sensor replaced, and an alignment done. is this a good price? or am i getting ripped off. help me out guys!

You should post in the appropriate local/region forum where you are from, as labor rates are region dependent.

Around me, that's a good price. both tierods would be 2hr+alignment. Assume the sensor replacement is free while they're in there. In bay area, for ashop I would go to, I would expect to pay ~90/hr + 75(align) for a fair priced competant shop.

A Lexus Dealer would charge $150/hr + probably bump in extra hours for the sensor install (esp. if you didn't buy the part from them at msrp).

oh i see. im from the bay area. im not familiar with labor prices around here. i dont want to get ripped off because ive been ripped off before. thanks for the reply! appreciate it.

I think that is a great price. an alignment alone would almost cost that.

i agree with RI-Lex, its a little too good to be true.
Make sure this person knows what they are doing. An alignment job is usually $60-$100 on average. same for tie-rods. You dont want to keep going back if the alignment is not done properly.
speed sensor replacement is a 2minute job.
but i would have expected a quote of at least $250 for everything.
