ebay is pretty safe.... just look at people feedback rating... it should tell you all about em... ive bought wheels off of ebay before and its a pretty cheap place to buy brand new wheels at...

lowest prices ive seen anywhere..

Default On ebay

I lost over $500 in a transaction for a set of golf clubs. The guy had a 49 rating, too! He mailed the clubs Priority Mail, didn't buy insurance and they were lost in the mail. No refund offered. No legal recourse, I checked.

I've bought several things on Ebay, at tremendous prices, but I always make sure that the seller insures the merchandise.

For a set of rims, or a high dollar item, personally I'd only go with a guy with a 500+ rating.

What if he says he's going to insure it and doesn't. A simple negative feedback does not change the fact your out $500, $1000 or $1,500 bucks!

Is there some sort of legal way to sue a person or something.

Default Insurance

Ebay insurance covers up to $175 per loss. That's all I got. They don't go and get the total amount of the loss out of the guy's credit card.

Many sellers ask for bank checks, so there's little recourse through credit card companies.

Default ... and another thing

Properly worded negative feedback can screw a guy out of ever selling again on Ebay. The seller who wouldn't give me a refund got a proper roasting from me. He was never able to sell again.

At the end of the day, it provided little solace for my $500 loss.

I think ebay should include the amount you were screwed for too.
ie: This jerk sold me a dvd player that didn't work Amt screwed: $1200.

I have a set of binnos in 20s and you will need to make sure you get 245s in the front-trust me- they willl rub when turning. The reason these are a low price is because they are silver finish which drops the price per wheel about $100 or more and the tires are not as expensive as Nittos. Then again I could be wrong.

smart camren......
