Tire Size
I dont want to go too lowpro on the tires. Austin streets are pretty bad as well as houston streets. I almost curbed on my old rims but luckily the tires were thicker so they protected the rims lol. I dont wanna risk that happening again.
245 is a lot of tire on a 8.5. Maybe go 235....which is still a lot to sum of us but should do the trick with the road conditions you described.
Go with FALKEN. They have the rim protector feature on their tires.

no problem, thats what we're here for
a 40 will be a slightly TALLER profile than the 35.I would go with the 35
The Falkens (FK451) run SLIGHTLY big, which is why a lot of us into the VIP scene buy them to stretch. The extra size is due to the 'Rim protector' feature.

Wow I didnt even know Emerald was a girl lol. Very pretty
But besides the Falkens what else is out there? Im guessing that those are gonna hurt my wallet lol. What is an alternative? Keep in mind that Im not looking for THE BEST tires out there. I just need something to ride on that wont be loud while driving. Thanks!

Neo, that first set you listed, those sizes are a bit smaller than OEM correct? Id like tires to be near an OEM spec, but still looks good and lowpro, just without the actual lowpro size. Thanks again for the input everyone!
the front tire would be taller than rear. If you get a 225/40, the rear tire should be 255/35, they have the same diameter. However; you can still go wider
I miss FK451, but I think you mean FK452, since they no longer make 51s
BTW, if some how you can get FK451s, then we need to talk, I would love to get my hands on some

The later OEM 16s ran 225/55 => 25.7 diameter. The OEM 17s run on 235/45 => 25.3" diameter. 245/35/19 => 25.8" which is close to the OEM 16s. If you want to be closer to OEM 17s, run 235/35/19 => 25.5".
As for the rear, 275/30/19 => 25.5".
Diameter-wise for 19s, 235/35 and 275/30 are a great match. I just like a little more width and rubber of the 245. IT is not much but better than nothing.
235/275 and 245/285 are the combos I like. For your rear 9.5, I would stay with 275. Fronts can go 235 or 245.
^^^yea listen to Neo, i got the same width wheels as you and run 235/35/19 and 275/30/19
mind you if your planning to lower your car, i would get 245/35 on the rears as the 275 may rub. your offsets are fine but the tyre might rub.

Damn, I just found a set of Falkens for 600. Theyre 245/35/19 fronts and 275/30/19 rears. I am planning on lowering the car with DF210s if I can find some, so will that be a problem?
