This maybe a silly question, and my spider instincts are already telling me i shouldn't, but i blew one of my rear winter tires today and was wondering if i could temporarily run a 235/45/17 winter tire in replacement of the 225/45/17 winter tire i blew? Mind you, im running 225/45/17 all around and i don't really wanna buy another set of winters since i just this set last year, so im thinking of using this spare winter i have laying around till i find a replacement.

yes you can, but your going to get something called "radio pull" your alinement wont be straight because one of your tires is bigger then the others.

ok thats what i thought. i was more worried/concerned about destroying some part of the drivetrain.


i would have gone this route but i can't find the same winter tire (kuhmo winter sports) anywhere local anymore?

If you are going to replace em' buy it in pair. At least you have 2 of the same rating...
