Default Blackouts

Hey guys. Need some help. My car recently has been randomly losing electricity. Just for a fraction of a second. No memory loss of anykind. All electrical systems die at once. Car keeps running. Any ideas? It's a '93 GS300. Thanks.

i had the same problem. pop your hood and there is 2 8 gauge wires coming off the + terminal of your battery. make sure those are tightly secure and not loose in any way. here is a way to test. go inside your car and turn on all the lights or just stick the key in the ignition. now pop your hood and wiggle the + terminal wires. if the light inside the car blinks you found your problem or if the dinging sound of your car door open stops you found your problem good luck. also try disc. your battery for like 10-15 min

I had a 1993 GS300(totalled in December), I bought the car CPO in 1997, I put a new alternator in the vehicle every 13 months (warranty on alternator was for 12 mos), and I would put a new battery every 2 years. My problem: if my stereo, lights, ac/heat were all turned on at the same time and my car was idling at a stop light my stereo and ac would turn off, and my lights would dim. If I punched the gas everything would come right back on. Only problem it blew out dash bulbs a couple of times(real expensive) Lexus could never figure out what was wrong and told me that my 300 watt amp and piaa fog lights were at blame, which is not there problem. So I pretty much just lived with it. But I had a stereo shop upgrade all my major stock wires to 4 gauge, I ran a capacitor to my amp, which made problems worse, because now the alternator had to charge my battery and cap. Even a deep cycle didn't help too much. And in the rain for some reason the problem was worse. Good luck.

"you got it, you got bad, when you car breaks down,
you start it, and it right back up.
you got it you got it bad when your lights dim.
accelerate and it comes right back.
you got it you got it bad.
when even a deep cycle battery won't help ya out."

haha i am really bored
