it does help, but with the turbo sitting so high up and so close to the battery, tragedy might still happen =\. stock twins is fine because it's sitting very close to the engine.
i noticed that a lot of turboed is/gs catches on fire more than supra/sc. Maybe the battery has to do with it; just a correlation that i'm seeing so far.

haha this is scaring me in doing my turbo. so i would have to relocate mine also. im wondering if optima's can catch on fire

I thought this was a sick joke since I didnt see any pictures, but now I know its true. Dont worry, like everybody else said, the good thing your ok. As long as there is life, anythings possible. Im glad I havent seen the pics cause that would hurt me. For me your car is a masterpiece and really, I love that car. Youll be up in no time smoking m5sand lambos

Holy crap J. I know I've been gone for a few weeks but man I hate to see this happen. I'm sorry that this happen to you but I guess The good news is that you didn't get any further damage like the whole car catching fire or anything plus you didn't get hurt. I don't know much about insurance so i can't lead you in the right direction but good luck with this and i hope you get taken care of and are back on road soon.

whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa? I havent come to the site lately but dayam. I'm sure insurance will cover but im sure they're gonna raise ur premiums like whoa. glad you came out okay though. Hmm maybe those ricers who put fire extinguishers in their rides wasn't a bad idea after all.... seriously glad ur alright.
