Default Chrome trunk bar

Are all the chrome trunk bars that are selling on L-tuned Parts, Elite Auto Style, Ebay and etc the same? Of course the prices are totally different from one another and the quality? Anyone with chrome trunk bars for their ride, care to shed some light? Thanks

I heard the cheaper one is just a bar you put stick on top of the current one. But the more expensive one like the L-tuned ones are the one you replace the whole thing?? So i heard

^^^^^^ very true. for the few extra $$, better to get the full replacement to ease the conscience.

I believe JZS International has them a bit cheaper. However, I only saw them with the Gold one and not the chrome.

Well I wouldnt be to quick to say that though. I ordered the one from ebay thinking that it was going to be CRAP! and I was VERY surprised to see that it was made out of metal! I was almost certain that it was going to be some cheap *** plastic, but I was wrong! I haven't got it installed yet (still waiting for the paint shop) but the darn thing looks to be GREAT! Quality looks fine. The ONLY thing I'm concerned with at this point is fitment. If it comes to fit good, I'm going to have to give it a to those who want to save a buck. The other thing though would be how much it would protrude from the car since it sticks on the factory one. I'd like to see them side by side.

From my experience, the ebay "stick on" chrome trunk bar uses 3M double sided tape to stick to your existing one. The one from L-tunedparts.com is an OEM replacement built to factory spec with perfect fitment. My advice would be get one that is a direct replacement and not a stick on one.

I saw a GS with a stick on one on the street and it's really obvious that it's only a cover. Then I passed him and he was jealous of my replacement one.

BTW the OEM ones are plastic

I missed ^^^ that part... I didnt realize they were plastic! MORE of a reason to get the replacement as you said... didnt think of that. If I had know, I would probably have gone that way....
