2. rear main seal is leaking $2100 (they said it's very minor and told me to pay attention to the leakage, could run for about 10k-15k miles.

3. right front outer tie rod ends need replaced $235

4. four wheel alignment $129 (after #3, they have to do it they said)

5. fog light connector $65

Anyone knows where can I get cheaper parts and if it's recommended to get these parts fixed by my local mechanic (he has worked on vdub all his life and specialized in german cars like audi/bmw, i got my bank1O2 sensor fixed there)

Please help! thanks!
$5k in repairs from the dealer. A large % of the estimate is the wonderful cost of Lexus tech labor.. Get the parts from Sewell & contact your local Toyota dealer if you do not know of a reputable independent mechanic in your area. The 2nd genGS has increased in age but the parts & labor will not decrease.. Good luck

I have a 2000 Black GS300 with roughly 93k-95k miles on it.
so I can just get parts from sewell and bring it to a toyota shop? do any of you know if local mechanic can do 90k miles service recommended by lexus? my local mechanic is specialized in german cars, but i've had my bank1oxygen sensor replaced there. he also ordered the part for me.

I went on Sewell lexus parts online, but I can't seem to find these parts: timing belt, front outer tie rod...and do i have to replace the whole rear main seal? i'm not sure what it is, but i was told that it's leaking.

oh, can someone post a link where I can get the list of lexus-recommended service for 90k? Thanks y'all!
