I got my car gs400 repainted and I just debadged all the emblems in the trunk.

I may consider a chrome trunk bar in the future but it looks way cleaner
without any badges.

and if you have chrome tips on your mufflers, even better things need to be balanced, hence why a chrome grille between chrome housing headlights on a dark colored car will always look good, but a blacked out grille on a black car with chrome housing headlights looks lost, almost like the car got it's teeth knocked out. follow me?
completely agree. ATLEAST have the "L".

I love the no emblem look. It's so clean. Doesn't distract your eyes from the lines of the car.

lots of good points... however, as I had said earlier, I wanted to get any Lexus or GS titles off the car. I like to keep the next person guessing (other than those who know the car) as for the white one above (very nice) however, a look in white may not necessarily look good on black you feel? I guess I cant make judgment until I get the car back.

thanks all for your opinions. keep any more comming.

Well since you don't want any OEM badging, just look for another round emblem you like and place it where the 'L' used to be.... I would personally just stick the 'L' on, just just the 'L'. Looks clean, but not too plain.

see, that just doesnt appeal to me (doesnt look bad) but its just too smooth across the top like somethings missing. I can see it being what others look for though. (and thank you very much, thats EXACTLY the pic I needed to see). maybe the spoiler might change things....

just thought about it.. I think its the smoothness with the lights too.. (bad angle pic maybe) cause you can barley see the design of the tail lights. now if I could see that same car as clear as the white car... that be good

if you have a v8 you can put v8 emblems on the quarter panels which is what i did kinda like a mercedes and high end bmw,, and since you have that kazz grill it sorta looks like the mb grillz. have you considered a jp or alternate brand hood ornament?? some of these look really sick on vip cars... and i would leave the back clean of badges.

Well thats one of the reason I posted this thread . I'm in Love with the JP ornament (the round one) but I dont want to put that badging and not have enough JP product...
interior is too ugly to have throw pillows or neck rolls. . IDK, I just may do it anyways while I work on the new interior.

those neck support pillow roll things have always been at the top of my b list of things to buy for my car that i really don't need or have any use for. but i would recommend the jp ones like you said. just don't put a big giant jp sticker across the back window...

dude between you and me, and anyone else that can read this... i wouldn't worry about not having enough jp products and putting the ornament on... in j-pan for example i saw so many weird badging schemas that it just got silly after a while... i actually say a toyota echo type car with lexus badging last time i was out there, and it is making me want to put my 'L's' on my wife's scion xa but the scion symbol on the back is just a little to big (and it has grooved body molding) to have it fit perfectly or she would be rolling around with possibly the worlds first xa with lexus badging. i saw so many of their original cars, i.e. nissan g's and m's with the stateside badging i.e. infiniti badges plus the numbers and letters but half the time the numbering and model letters were off... and of course the lexus badging and numbers on toyotas but a lot of these were not correct either... it just makes me laugh thinking about it. i give them an 'E' for Effort though.

ha ha no way! what I was THINKING was the hood ornament then maybe the crest for the rear or their small crest with name for the side.

hmm i don't know about the name for the sides, that is getting a little bit overboard, but its completely your palate to do what you like... either way something different yet subtle is always a plus.

see that's what i'm talking about though. maybe it's just my eye for detail that's telling me the chrome trunk bar looks kind of lost on there....i think just the lexus L or even that lextasy 'x' one would look really good dead center above it and would tie in the bar and the exhaust tips to the rest of the rear end.

that is why i never got the chrome trunk bar... i thought all the same color; keep it simple. seems a little much to put all those chromed accents like door handles, b pillar chrome overlays, trunk bar, but who am i to talk i have a chrome-ish grill, rims, v8 emblems, and exhaust.
