Exclamation Extreme problem

I'm at work now, and I was playing with my lighting, the ones on the roof, they take feed from 12v mirror, I accidentally crossed them, damn and at first car did not even wanted to crank, now I can crank it and it starts but climate control, auto leveling, window regulators, mirror doesn't work. Also displays ABS warning light and BRAKE. Damn, did I screw up whole car? Please help guys.

you should be ok. hopefully just a fuse.

Start at the fuse box at the kick panels and then work your way to under the hood.

What else can it be except fuses, I checked both foot wells and all seemed ok. I can't check under the hood now. So power to interior mirror got short and it's causing while car to die or what? Man that's gonna stink pretty bad. ****!

thats your best bet, if you checked there already, try the ones in the hood. Worst case scenario, you fried a positive wire thats grounding out, and that can be a PITA to find. If you say your fuses are good in the kick panel, then I'm sure its a wire thats fried that's grounding out. Try to find a electrical diagram which wires go where and what was connected to the series you crossed.

Good luck.

Also seat heaters, VSC, tranny modes (PWR, snow etc) doesn't work, seat memories, I can't shift out of Park mode even when ignition is ON, steering wheel very heavy, ABS warning light, Brake light, climate doesn't work, no headlights auto leveling(not even dash light for it), and bunch of other "goodies". Damn whole car goes south because of such small short, like 2 secs. Guy chime in, give me ideas. Any help is very appreciated.

Thanks.

sounds like you took out either multiple interior fuses or fusable links. I would not advise driving the car this way, take it to a professional and have it sorted out. This happened to my old maxima and it was a pain but it can be fixed. You'll have to pull out each individual fuse and inspect them to make sure they're not burnt. I'm willing to bet you probably fried the main interior fusable link which would be under the hood. As for power steering, that's a whole separate fuse/issue. Again, while you seem to be somewhat adept at wiring and electrical work, I would recommend having a professional diagnose and fix the problem. For now, guess you'll just have to tow it home.

When I was driving it home, I made it without any major issues. Also I noticed that even though speedometer doesn't work, cruise control still works. Also I can open/close windows outside the car by remote or by turning key in door lock but still can't move them using interior buttons. I also checked all fuses and they seemed to be okay, even under the hood. Well tomorrow I'll check it again just to make sure.

Check a 15A fuse in the driver side footwell! (I have a RHD) - its either the ACC or IGN (cant remember)

I had this blow and it took out the ABS, speedo, A/C, would not release gear-stick out of P and window switches were dead to name a few.

The fuse looked ok, but as they are so small it did look like it was OK at a glance!

Thanks man so much!! That fuse looked okay but when I actually pulled it, it was blown, it's located in driver's side foot well (LHD car) name is: ECU-IGN. After I replaced that, everything works normal!

Thanks again!
