Well, I have an 01 gs430 that has been a great car up till past couple thousand miles. When i'm at low speeds and give it gas to get going again, the car doesn't respond, it just sits there until I give it more gas then it finally kicks in and takes off. It doesn't do this constantly, only random times throughout a drive. (Went to dinner today, did it twice on the way back to the house which is about twenty miles.) Any help would be great, the dealerships and everyone I know can't figure it out.. I've replaced the throttle box on it and didn't change anything. Still the same problems. Could it be fuel pump, injectors?..I'm really not for sure.
Is the car throwing any CEL? If so, get the specific code and report back to us. Also, have you tried to clean the MAF sensor. If it's really dirty then it will cause some driving issues like you mentioned.

+1, get us the code. Cleaning the maf will help, also try some lucasoil fuel system cleaner when you go for your next tank (put in right before you fill up). If none of that works, you'll probably be getting a check engine light in which case it could be a plug, coil, or injector. Also, the fuel filter could be to blame for your issues, so check that out/replace it.
I have yet to have the CEL for the coupe thousand miles its come up. I'll check out the MAF and fuel filter as well. Hopefully that's all it is!
if there's no CEL that must be what it is. have you also checked your air filter? that could be the culprit also. Without a CEL i doubt there would be any type of serious misfire or TPS issue. My guess is that it's more than likely a fuel filter, because even a dirty maf shouldnt cause THAT much of a delay in your accelerator, but clean it anyways because it cant hurt, and air filter also shouldnt cause that much of a problem unless its really gunked up; either way changing the air filter will help your mileage a little bit at the very least.
hi, i have this same problem. it happen to me for the past 8 months or so. it come back and go way. i bring it to the dealership they can't find out what the problems. cause my cel is not coming on so they said keep driving it untill it come on.
