Default Rear spoiler

Ok, guys I will like to get rid of my oem rear spoiler at some point, is there any spoiler out there that cover the trunk holes without some body work? and no I can't see the add of someone trading trunk lids with me, since my car color is hard to come by now adays burnished gold. HELP

I don't know if there are any, but the 3-piece i think maybe RMM? should cover them. I'd suggest a lip spoiler but they don't really cover too much of the trunk lid.

If someone can confirm that the RMM is good for sure, I'll be on the hunt for one.

If I remember correctly, the Win Sports spoiler covers the holes. But I would just do it right and get it shaved and repainted. If you leave open holes rust could develop even with a spoiler covering it up. Plus the no spoiler look is nice.

Could anybody explain why this is such a bad thing to cover up the holes?

they will more than likely rust out even if covered by the spoiler due to condensation etc. and the insides of the holes are not coated, they are just exposed metal therefore even faster rusting.

i guess it could work if you didnt want to repaint the boot just get the spoiler painted and stuck on. You would just need to make sure you prep and paint any exposed metal edges so they're sealed, and then use plenty of sealant to attach the new spoiler so that no moisture can get under it.

i have to repaint my boot anyway because i have a streak of something running down under the clear coat at one side of the boot.. probably some moisture under there i guess

I will silicon the holes with paintable silicon, let it dry, cut the extra. Touch up with paint, Wet Sand, Polish gentlely. Hopefully the silicon will not drop into the hole...

I can take your old spoiler if you dont want it Free....!

^ there is no point filling with silicon really if he is going to cover it with the new wing provided he adequately seals with sealant. he could probably put a rubber stopper on the underside of the boot and silicon that in too, just to seal it up. But if there is plenty of sealant (e.g sikaflex) right up to and around the edges of the left over holes then it should be fine..
