Default Noise

I think the arm you are talking about is called a door check strap. Sometimes the two 10mm screws get loose and it makes noise. If that is the case, just tighten them. Worst case senario, the check straps are bad and you would have to replace them. But that is not bad to do, you do have to remove the door panel to gain access to them.

I had the same problem when i first bought mine. If my memory serves me right (it rarely does) then there are two arms that extend when you open the door. There is a T30 bolt that attaches this arm to the frame of the car. I tightened it up with a bolt driver by hand and have never heard a creaking or a pop noise come from the door in over a year.

the two bolts should be on the door. You can also check if the pin on the frame is on properly.
