Default Replaced Door lock actuator, now have another issue

So I finished the Door Lock Actuator DIY for my 99 GS4, on the driver's door. It worked good for about 1 week, then every once in awhile when I lock the doors from anywhere (key or door panel or driving auto lock, when I then unlock the door I can get out no problem, but when I go to shut the door it acts as if there is something blocking the door from shutting, almost like the when pulling the handle from the inside it does not completely open the latch and therefore I can open the door and get out, but it will not latch when I close it..... That I know of from listening and trying it, once I open the door from the inside and then try to shut it it bounces back open and will not latch. If I then lift the outside handle it has a definite click sound as I lift the handle and then it will latch and close no problem. Is there something that needed to be aligned? Could I really be off alignment on it? From what it looked like during the install there is only one way it could go and there is not a lot of room for adjustment is there? Did I miss something? The only thing I can think of is the screws where they are self-aligning if one of them got tightened up a little tighter than the rest before..???

Ideas?

sounds like the latch is not springing back? Take it back apart and make sure that you reassembled it correctly.

I did notice it does not spring back only when I pull the handle all the way open. It's almost like it goes past where it should.... And then the only way to get it to spring back in place is when you lift the handle from the outside...

Had a problem where door would not lock at all after changing acutator. Saw that the end of one of the cables that attach to the door handle was bent so it would not return to it's closed position. It is the inch or two of exposed cable outside of its sheath that latches onto the handle that I found was bent. Bent it back and all is good.

Make sure the plastic piece that goes to the cables are not broken and they are secure in the door lock and handle grooves on the door panel
