Default just picked my ISf

hi guys
yesterday i just picked up a brand new is-f, now the question looms, should i keep the my faithful Gs400 or let it go. I really want to keep the Gs400, it never had any problems ever since i owned it and i have quite a few mods on it.. but i still love my GS400 i drove the gs after driving the is-f and thought man my gs drive more smoother even when its dropped..i am thinking of putting it up on CL...what would you guys do if in my position?

If you can afford to keep it then I say why not.

Well dang dude, you already listed reasons of why to keep it. It's a no brainer to me. Keep it if you can without being financially burdened. Keep it!!! You'll regret it later if you sell it, as so many on here have.

Also, just consider usage. If you are going to keep the GS and use it as your daily and the IS-F as the "fun car" then it's feasible. On the other hand, if one is going to collect dust, then why not make some money off it... But, in your shoes, I would keep it.

i have driven the gs with good tires and i have had 0 problems, only get snow maybe 4 days in a year ...i had the rx just for tha we traded the rx330 in, because 2 reasons, the rx trade was better trade in-value then gs, + rx had a fair share of stupid little problems like dash rattles, transfer case leaking at ony 52k miles ... anyways that gone we really need only 1 car, 1 car to drive daily and one for fun(is-f).

Congrats on the IS-F. I'd say keep the GS.

Haha.....I have almost the same delima with owning a GS4 and looking at a 450h or IS-F.
Here's my take....

I bought the GS4 for the performance and sedan features which allowed me to carry family and friends when visiting. My other car is a 2 seater convertable. I found myself driving the GS everywhere and using the covert sparingly.

Fast forward to today...

Looking at the at the 450h and IS-F because of the performance and sedan features again. If I purchase either vehicle, experience tells me I will hardly ever drive the GS4 as it will get the same approximate fuel economy (IS-F) or better (450h), have greater performance, and allow me to carry my people cargo. I will still use the covert on special occasion (maybe) but there would be no compelling reason to drive the GS4 anymore.
Insurance, tags, depreciation and lack of garage space makes the "logical" decision for me, but my heart wants to keep the GS4 in the corral.

good luck.

i'd say 2 cars are better than 1, if money is not a issue.

+1, having a GS4 as a daily and an ISF for a weekend warrior isn't a bad problem to have...not to mention you said you're kind of done modding the GS4 so you can put more money into the F and make it even more beastly.

If the IS-F meets the sedan requirements that the GS was performing (fuel economy, carrying capacity, etc.), I'm willing to bet the IS-F quickly becomes the "daily driver/fun car" all wrapped up in one package!

"Fun cars" (i.e hobby cars, from my old school thinking days) are usually paid for and are not your daily driver. I'm not sure what part on the "fun car" aspect that would not be covered (in spades!) by the IS-F, but I'm highly doubtful that a new IS-F would be left in the garage for weekend warrior duties only !
