Default what to do first?

I just bought a 2001 gs3 at 127,000 miles, what should I change first? No service records on the carfax, only emissions test. Im kinda stuck. Need help. Anyone? Thanks

and welcome to the club

as stated above, i would do all the maintenance first if you dont have any records of it being done. that way, your off to a fresh start

GL with everything and keep us posted on what you've done

for GS service...you can ask GSteg

for a recommendation autoshop (ie : Dynamic Auto), you can ask 4ntvings

I to would say change the lower ball joints before you do any other suspension mod. For that matter, I'd have all the suspension bushings and steering rack bushings checked out and changes as well since they are probably shot. Engine and trans mounts too while you're at it.

ball joints for sure.... air filter, oil, atf, change out the rear diff. oil, plugs.... check the water pump and timing belt. thats about all i can think of right now.... there might be a few things i left out....

just have a mechanic you trust spend a few hours with the car, do all of the items listed above.... and next time be sure to get the car checked out before you buy it!

Im from sacramento, how much would front lower balljoints cost to do. I think im going to get my timing belt done and get a tune up also. But taking it to lexus would cost a lot, I do not know of any good trusted body shops over here. 4ntvings what do u mean by do a major?

check the nor cal forums. Exact is up north, i think in milpitas (i could be wrong). give them a ring.
