Clicking Problem
Hi guys, I'm new to the Lexus scene even though I have been browsing the forums for quite some time. Anyways, I just purchased my gs300 a couple of months back and am totally satisfied (I'll post pics up soon). The only issue right now is there are clicking sounds!
It seems to only occur right after I changed gears (either from Park to Reverse/Drive or from Reverse/Drive to Drive/Reverse) or when I turn the steering wheel all the way after I change gears. It doesn't happen all the time but occasionally.
I just wanted to know if you guys are familiar with this issue and if it is a big deal. The car itself has about 80k miles and is an 03 model. No other issues had occur and the car seems to have been perfectly maintained from the previous owner. The only thing that I know that needs to be changed are the rotors because of the vibration in the steering wheel when I brake. Are these issues related?
Thanks guys

It's not a big deal. You can go to the dealership or any shop to have them lubercate your calipers. Someone can chime in on the stuff they use. I know there was a bunch of threads with this same issue. Try using the search function. It's your best friend. Either way, congrats on your pick up and show us some pictures!!!!
When you first start the car too, there is some brake auto-calibration thing or something... *fuzzy memory*... and it clicks a couple times. But this only happens in the 1st minute you turn the car on.
Thanks for the info guys... I'll definitely get my ball joints checked out and search more on that. I tried searching before but I didn't really know how to describe the problem in one phrase, but ball joints is a good start now.
