Default Oil leak sorrows

This is really putting me down in the dumps. I just replaced my plugs with e3 diamond fire plugs and i decided to change out my valve cover gaskets becuase they where leaking. Well after all the work has been done my car is still leaking although it dosn't seem to be coming from the covers, now its leaking from my timing cover. Also the oil is in the front part of my cam gear cover. Im not sure where eles its could be coming from also this is a 98 gs300 incase i didn't post that allready. Any help/ advise would be great

most likely ur cam plugs. i had mine fixed, no more leak! if the shop knows what they are doing, it shouldnt be that expensive. i paid 80 bux. some shops tho take off a lot of stuff that they didnt have to take a part, so they charge over 200. call around.

My '98 was leaking at the cam seal, crank seal and rear main seal at one point. The timing belt area was full of oil. After changing the crank and cam seals one more time, as well as the cam gear, it finally quit leaking. The technician told me they couldn't actually find anything wrong with the seals, but that this sometimes happens with the 2GS.

Good luck!!

Keep in mind when you pull off the valve covers. The front edge where it meets the camshaft cap needs a dab of silicone sealant. If you don't put that drop there, oil will start to seep out from that area and leak all over the front of the engine.

my mechanic mentioned that cam seal and crank seal should always be replaced during the major service.
