Unusually High Service Estimates
I took my car in for service to get the A/C servo motor replaced. I received a quote of $670. From my understanding, the part is less than $200.
I received a quote at the same place of almost almost eight-hundred($770) to replace both ball joints. Does anyone else think these estimates are extremely high?

So yeah very high, my friend the other day went to a dealership, they wanted to charge 90/hr to check for a check engine light after smog was done. Since they removed the fuel cap to test, they didnt put it on tight which is what she found.
HATE THEM

Sometimes I can build a great rapport with a service place and I get top-notch service for a great price, but after a few visits, it seems like the estimates start getting higher.
My two quotes were from a Toyota dealership, which you would think would be less expensive than a Lexus dealership. The service manager used to always knock off a few dollars here and there and they would usually wash the car for free after service was done. Now the good deals don't seem so good anymore and last time I had the car serviced, they charged me almost $30 to wash it!
There is no such thing as a trustworthy service shop.
